Canada Touch Rugby is set to host the Grand Finals this coming Sunday from 1-3pm at The Hangar Sport and Event Centre. This year is unique in that the top three teams from each respective league (U.C.C., The Hangar, and Burlington) will be competing to hoist the ‘CTR Cup.’ In previous years, only the top team from each league was invited to compete.

“With additional top caliber teams in this years finals, we feel this tournament will be a true representation of the CTR Champions considering the growing talent pool in each of our member leagues,” Steve Shortly says.

What ever happens on the day it should be a fun day for all considering the Grand Final week is a ‘bonus’ rugby week for all teams invited to compete. With that being said, it sure would be nice to have bragging rights for this one. Teams competing are posted below and for those interested, the tournament bracket will be posted in the next few days.

Good luck to all teams participating this coming weekend!

The Hangar
1. Bohica
2. The Beers
3. Pathetifish

Burlington Dome
1. One Hitters
2. Blue Steel
3. Mac Daddy’s

U.C.C.

2. Victorious Secret
3. Bay Street Gormandizers
